Launch Authorization

I, , slip number , authorize Bowleys Marina, Inc. to launch my vessel, named , during the week of Monday, of , 20.

I have submitted a prior Launch Request which is on file. I understand this Authorization MUST be submitted prior to Launch. A final Launch date will not be scheduled until this Launch Authorization is submitted and the vessel is READY for launch.

Please Note:
Ensure that the vessel is ready on Monday of the week scheduled to launch. If Detailer, Mechanic, Canvas Maker and/or Rigger is (are) working on the vessel, make sure they are aware of the schedule and have the vessel ready for launch on MONDAY of the week scheduled. If not ready Monday, the vessel will be moved to the bottom of the list and will NOT displace a vessel which is ready and scheduled for the following week. If not ready, reschedule early, do NOT wait until Monday of the week you are scheduled.

Ensure that you hire only Contractors who carry the correct insurance. Please have them fax the office the proper documentation regarding their coverage prior to their arrival. Call office @ 410-335-3553 with Insurance questions.

Owner attests to the following:

  1. All thru-hull fittings are closed and hoses are connected
  2. Batteries are installed and charged. Battery cables are connected
  3. Bilge pumps are operational and all hoses are connected
  4. Strainers are closed and checked that gaskets are in place and seated properly
  5. Plugs are installed
  6. If marina to install plugs, how many? Location?
  7. Dock Lines are onboard and labeled. ( please label 2 bow lines, 2 stern lines and 2 spring lines at a minimum )
  8. If vessel needs services beyond normal launch operations, i.e., stuffing box adjustment, leaks or issues beyond the Marina’s control, owner agrees to pay charges for additional services rendered.
  9. If taking stands home, owner agrees to pick-up in shop parking lot within 1 week of launch. How many?
  10. Owner agrees to inspect vessel upon launch. The Crew will tie vessel according to the current tidal conditions. It is the owner’s responsibility to check vessel and ensure the vessel is tied correctly and plugged into shore power.
  11. Ensure BGE is called prior to launch date to verify power is turned on
  12. Account is Current
  13. Owner has provided office with current insurance declaration page
  14. Owner has provided office with copy of Cert. of Documentation and/or copy of State Title and Registration
  15. Office has key/combination to vessel for bilge access
