Rental rates are escalating every year, while our maintenance fees are only $1,330.00 annually. Why not put the money you are spending on rent into buying a slip?
Past that, development of marinas on the Chesapeake Bay is being restricted, while boat sales are skyrocketing. The value of owning a slip is becoming a simple matter of supply & demand.
What are the costs of owning a slip?
The operating/maintenance fees are $1,330.00 per year. We invoice semi-annually. $665.00 will be due on January 1st, and the remaining $665.00 will be due on May 1st. Electric is metered individually at each slip.
What are the benefits?
- The assurance that you'll have the same slip each year, along with winter land storage
- You'll receive a 10% discount on fuel purchases
- S.O.A.P. (the Slip Owners Appreciation Program) gives you 10% off store and ice purchases, boat services, and more
- You'll have a vote and a voice in the future of the marina
- You can be elected to the Board of Directors
What if I buy a larger boat or want to stay at another marina?
You can sell or rent your slip to someone else. In today's market you can easily charge more than you pay in maintenance fees, which will give you the opportunity to make additional income.
The rent payments you receive can then be used to buy or rent another slip in this marina or any other. Owning a slip is a good investment with a great return!
What about resale?
We offer brokerage for our members' slip sales or rentals. You may also choose to sell or rent your slip privately.
